From 17 February 2014 To 31 March 2014Address
Wei-Ling Contemporary, Gardens Mall, Kuala Lumpur
A new exhibition by one of Malaysia’s most high-profile contemporary artists is set to open on February 17th at the Wei-Ling Contemporary in Kuala Lumpur.
Running until March 31st, the exhibition entitled The Beginning of Something, features work by Penangite H H Lim and includes paintings, sculptures and installations, as well as recorded video and sound.
Lim is a neo-conceptualist artist and his work incorporates elements of everyday life, following the theme of the eastern philosophical tradition of the infinite cycle of impermanent existences.
Born in Kedah, Malaysia, Lim moved to Rome to practise art in 1976, where he has remained ever since, finding himself continuously inspired by the city’s energy.
Stay at the Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur hotel, which is a great base from which to visit the many sights the city has to offer, such as the Petronas Towers, the Batu Caves and the Central Market.
