One of Asia's leading racing events, the annual Formula 1 Malaysia is a huge draw for both local and foreign motor sport fans seeking to experience all the thrills and spills of the race day. With Formula 1 growing in global popularity, the Malaysian F1 Grand Prix offers a thrill-a-minute show appropriate for all ages. 

The race takes place at the Sepang International Circuit in Sepang, Selangor which was welcomed into the Formula 1 circuit in 1999 as it hosted what was at that time the first event of its kind in Southeast Asia. Designed by Hermann Tilke, this 3.5 miles (5,542m) track incorporates a variety of wide corners and straights to provide drivers with a challenging 56 laps. 

Built with a variety of facilities that cater to the Formula 1 teams, spectators and media alike, the Sepang International Circuit is also equipped with two giant screens. Apart from F1, this impressive circuit plays host to other major racing events such as the Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix and the A1 Grand Prix. The track is situated in Malaysia's Multimedia Super Corridor and is within easy reach of the airport, while Kuala Lumpur is around 37.5 miles (60km) away.
