The 24-hours Durham Park team aims to ‘to create and sustain a unique urban park to engage the Durham community’ by directing their efforts to ‘Natural Beauty, Public Art, Community Events, and Recreation’. The park has a number of venues for local events as well as many activity areas such as The Pavilion which hosts the farmer’s market, Mt. Merrill and interactive play area and the Leaf open air performance area designed by university students.
