For something a little different, visit the Parliament House. Having such a place of sobriety right next to the party district might seem surprising, but in orderly Singapore the two coexist in perfect harmony. On Parliament sitting days (1:30pm), visitors are free to attend the proceedings on a first-come-first-served basis. Guided tours on non-sitting days are also available, but these need to be arranged beforehand.
