Watch the final stage of the Tour de France in Paris
From 05 July 2014 To 27 July 2014Address
Although the Tour de France is coming to London this year, the final charge down the cobbles of the Champs-Élysées in Paris remains the most prestigious sprint finish in road racing.
Hopes will be high for Britain's Mark Cavendish, who was unbeaten in the French capital between 2009 and 2012 - his four consecutive final stage wins representing a Tour record that is unlikely to ever be beaten.
The best thing about watching the Tour de France roll into Paris is that, unlike watching road races in other locations, where the peloton flies past at 35mph in a blur of colour, those on the Champs-Élysées get to see the field come past as many as ten times.
Unsurprisingly, this thrilling spectacle is extremely well-attended, so it pays to book a hotel in Paris for the night before, so that you stake a place on the barriers.
The Millennium Hotel Paris Opéra, which is just a 20-minute walk away, is the ideal place to stay.
