Franco Battiato is a near-legendary singer-songwriter who hails from the Italian island of Sicily.
He has been active since the 1960s, with debut single L'amore e partit coming out in 1965.
However, he is perhaps best known to international audiences for his 1984 track I treni di Tozeur, which was the Italian entry for that year's Eurovision Song Contest.
Battiato remains active to this day - with his most recent recording being last year's studio album Apriti sesamo.
He is still on the road in support of this effort - and on 24th March he is due to perform at the Olympia Hall in Paris.
Ticket prices start at €40, with the best seats in the house on offer for €75 plus booking fees.
Visitors to the city who are hoping to catch the show might want to consider booking rooms at the Millennium Hotel Paris Charles de Gaulle, which is a mere half-hour drive or taxi ride away from the venue.
