France has been responsible for some of the finest literature of all time, with artistes from the likes of Gustave Flaubert, Emile Zola and Honore de Balzac delighting readers from the 19th century to the present day.
Paris still has a rich literary history and one event that will be celebrated this year is the Salon du Livre et Papiers Anciens antique book fair will be held at the Place des Ternes between 2nd to 11th March.
Around 120 collectors from all over France will bring their old books, engravings, manuscripts, autographs, prints, stocks and bonds, press and even old postcards to the event so there is the potential for a real discovery.
The entrance fee for the event is just €10.00 and food and refreshments are available on site.
Getting to the event is easy, even in a city as busy as Paris.
The Millennium Hotel Paris Opera is just 3.5 km away and a taxi trip will only take ten minutes.
