Art Paris brings focus on eastern artwork to Grand Palais

Art Paris, one of the French capital's biggest and most prestigious cultural events, is heading to the Grand Palais in late March.
This year's edition will bring together 143 galleries from 20 different nations under the glass roof of the Grand Palais, with Russia named as this year's guest of honour.
Dedicated to presenting modern and contemporary artwork, the event - which carries the full title of the Art Paris Art Fair - aims to focus on the thriving creative scenes of central and eastern Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
A total of 73 newcomers will exhibit at the 2013 fair, including London's Laurent Delaye Gallery, Michel Soskine in Madrid and Milan's Mimmo Scognamiglio.
Russia, as the country of honour, will be showcased in a dedicated central space containing works from ten galleries hailing from a string of Russian cities.
The Millennium Hotel Paris Opera could be the ideal venue for art buffs keen to attend the event, as the accommodation is just an 11-minute drive from the Grand Palais.

The Mus�e d?Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris will be putting on a retrospective of work by Lucio Fontana until August 24th 2014.
From June 24th to September 28th, the Mus�e d'Orsay in Paris will be showing The Four Parts of the World fountain sculpted by Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux.
2014 sees the city of Paris celebrate the 12th edition of the Cinema Festival, taking place from July 5th to 12th.
