Hannover could be the perfect place to visit for anyone who wishes to celebrate Oktoberfest this year.

This is because the city proudly hosts the third biggest version of the event in the world.

The Schutzenplatz fairground will be all about fun between 28th September and 14th October.

Much of the city will be festooned in white and blue - the true colours of Bavaria!

It has been running for almost 50 successful years - and all the sociability, music and dancing of the fair will be complemented by a range of hearty culinary treats.

A range of rides will also be open - including the Boostermax, a helter-skelter called the Toboggan and a Hupferl - which is truly based on Bavarian traditions.
