There will be all sorts of live events and entertainment to enjoy during a Hannover hotel break this year, including a gig by British singer-songwriter Katie Melua.

The performer is set to embark on a tour to showcase material from Secret Symphony, her fifth studio album, which was released on 5th March.

After playing a series of dates in Germany in July, Melua will return to the country in the autumn to perform at venues including Hannover's AWD Hall, which she will visit on 26th October.

The singer burst onto the UK music scene in 2003, when her debut album Call Off the Search hit the top of the charts in Britain and also broke into the top ten in countries such as Germany, Ireland, Denmark and New Zealand.

Her next album, Piece by Piece, also reached number one in the UK, while the follow-ups Pictures and The House both peaked in the top five.

The Secret Symphony tour will get underway in London in June and stop off in major European cities such as Oslo (29th June), Berlin (9th July), Amsterdam (19th October) and Paris (22nd October).

Melua is one of several acts you can see at AWD Hall during a stay at the Copthorne Hotel Hannover this year, along with the likes of Deep Purple (17th November) and Runrig (28th November).
