The Doha Tribeca Film Festival has proven to be a successful event since it was first launched a few years ago.

This year will be the fourth time the occasion is held in the Middle Eastern city and a bumper crowd is expected to attend.

It was launched with the intention of celebrating movies and footage produced by talented Arabians, as well as showcasing work created by international filmmakers. It is also hoped that the screenings will highlight and raise awareness of Qatar's rich history.

The event is scheduled to go ahead in October (exact date yet to be confirmed) and the majority of the screenings will once again be staged at the impressive Katara Cultural Village.

People who travel to Doha will be able to see up to 35 films throughout the course of the festival.

Other forms of entertainment and a number of activities are also set to be held in order to keep guests occupied, including talks from established film producers.

With the festival running for five days, it is vital that people secure accommodation in plenty of time and the Millennium Hotel Doha is ideally located, as it is just 15 minutes away from the Katara Cultural Village by car.
