Sulaimani Museum

The Sulaimani Musuem is the second largest museum in Iraq, after the national museum in Baghdad. It is home to many Kurdish and ancient Persian artifacts dating back to 1792–1750 BC.

The museum was founded in 1961 in a small house before being moved to its current premises on Salim Street. As the second largest museum in Iraq, its collections span the entire Mesopotamian civilisation and include unique objects from the Neolithic the Ottoman periods.
