Holidaymakers heading to a Hannover hotel later this month will be able to enjoy a celebration of dance in the German city.

Between September 3rd and 12th the TANZtheater International 2009 will take place for the 24th year, showcasing a range of dance moves for visitors' enjoyment.

Public areas, such as the Orangerie Herrenhausen, the Hochschule fur Musik und Theater, Ballhof Eins and Ballhof Zwei, will all double as stages as the city becomes engulfed in dance mania.

Hannover's official tourist board says of the event: "Regulars like Jan Lauwers and his Needcompany will join the festival as well as new faces such as choreographer Grace Ellen Barkey, actress Lies Pauwels and the dancer-choreographer Ben Benaouisse, who will work together for the first time."

As well as performances, there will also be discussions about dance, including the funding of initiatives, and the chance to meet other enthusiasts of physical theatre.
