In Asia, our superb properties stretch across the region. The hotels offer everything that a visitor could want - from the most professional business travel experience complete with serviced offices to the ultimate in luxury leisure travel at the deluxe five star Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur and the Grand Copthorne Waterfront, Singapore.
The company's first hotel in the Peoples Republic of China was opened in August 2006 - the Millennium Hongqiao Hotel Shanghai - followed by the opening of the Millennium Harbourview Hotel Xiamen. The Grand Millennium Beijing and Copthorne Hotel Qingdao opened in 2008 prior to the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
In 2011, the Group announced plans to build its first ever hotel in Japan in Tokyo's prime Ginza district.
Our European properties are situated throughout the major business centres of the UK - including Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow, London, Manchester and Newcastle - and in France and Germany.
The hotels offer standard rooms, club accommodation and suites, with many offering club lounge, fully equipped business centres, as well as meeting and events facilities, fine restaurants and access to health and fitness outlets.
Millennium Hotels and Resorts also maintains a strong and visible presence in the Middle East. All of the Middle East hotels are managed, as opposed to owned properties.
The group operates three brands in New Zealand - Millennium, Copthorne and Kingsgate. This combination covers three very different market segments and provides a variety of different products and locations, ranging from many central urban locations to the Copthorne Hotel and Resort Bay of Islands within the Waitangi National Trust Reserve.
The largest hotel group in the country, Millennium and Copthorne hotels can be found in all major centres, on both islands.
