|New Queensland pool hosts first competition
Queensland hotels are likely to be full of those attending the Southland club's swim meet at Alpine Aqualand, which begins on Saturday October 11th.
Clubs including the Mataura, Collegiate, Fiordland and Hokonui are expected all expected to compete in the Southern Lakes' new pool.
Spectators are allowed free entry and this could prove to be an exciting event to enjoy the new facilities.
New features at the centre include a new leisure pool, lazy river, two flumes and a toddlers pool.
There is also an adult spa area, for those parents keen on getting away from their parents while on their holidays.
The pool is open between 6:00 and 20:00 local time, Monday to Fridays and between 8:00 and 20:00 on Saturdays and Sundays.
