|Film festival in Wellington
Now in its 37th year, the festival showcases some of the best domestic and international films on offer.
This annual festival is renowned for its innovative selection across a variety of genres, from documentaries and drama to comedies, animation, retrospectives and live cinema.
Work from home-grown talent is screened alongside top international film releases and films from other celebrated festivals such as Cannes and Berlin.
The festival also hosts international and local filmmakers, giving the audience a chance to engage with them about their work.
Highlights of this year include screenings of critically-acclaimed films like Persopolis, Man on Wire, Vexville, Son of a Lion and The Silence Before Bach.
Tickets cost between $8 and $14.50, depending on the time of screening. There are discounts available for students, children and senior citizens.
Tickets can be purchased at the venues daily, one hour prior to the first screening until 15 minutes after the last session commences.
