|Auckland revs up for Rally New Zealand
Scheduled to take place between August 28th and 31st, the event forms part of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) and featured 18 stages based in Hamilton last year.
According to the WRC, the sporting highlight is known for "fast-flowing gravel roads and the beautiful landscape of the country's North Island".
When the weather is hot and sun is shining, the riders love the track but it's a muddy slope when rain falls, the organisation said.
Every year sees drivers from across the globe head to Hamilton and it was recently announced that the Takayama College of Car Technology was returning for a second time.
The Japanese company said it was sending a 20-string team down under, consisting of eight mechanics, six teachers, the driver, co-driver and four others.
