The brightest and best of New Zealand's fashion industry will be heading to Auckland between September 16th and 21st for Air New Zealand Fashion Week.

Opening shows between Tuesday and Friday are for reserved for professionals and industry insiders, but members of the public will be allowed to view the latest trends over the weekend.

Attendees at the show will be treated to musical entertainment and will have the opportunity to make purchases of any items that catch their eye.

Designers expected to grace the Auckland catwalk include Ana Steels, NYNE, Sera Lilly and Tav.

This year, organisers have added some new features for the public such as seminars held by some of the industries top names and an art exhibition.

Those who visit Auckland for the Fashion Week may wish to drop into the Auckland Art Gallery to view Earth Matters, an exhibition of work by artists who refer to environmental themes.
