The Pacific Area Incentives and Conferences Expo (Paice) was launched in Auckland this week, giving international companies a chance to showcase $3.7 billion dollars in investment ideas for New Zealand.

Paice was well attended by a wide range of firms, with over half the exhibition space occupied by the Australia Pavilion, for the record-breaking 45 Australian exhibitors that were in attendance.

According to Geoff Buckley, Tourism Australia managing director, Australia is keen to invest in a range of facilities across New Zealand.

Joyce DiMascio, head of Business Events Australia, said: "New Zealand is a crucial market to Australia's business events sector and is our largest international market for business events, making up 25 per cent of the inbound business events market.

"Paice is the ideal event to showcase to the New Zealand market the array of business events options Australia offers. The exhibitors attending Paice demonstrate the range of quality business events products and services available. "
