|New Artspace gallery in Dubai
Located in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), the gallery will focus on contemporary Middle Eastern Art.
Works featured in the gallery will cover many different types, ranging from oil on canvas paintings to photography.
''The establishment of the new gallery comes at a time when global interest in Middle Eastern contemporary art is growing,'' Dr Omar Bin Sulaiman, governor of the DIFC and managing director of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, told UAE Daily News.
He added: "As part of developing itself into a global cultural hub, Dubai has undertaken several initiatives to nurture art in the Middle East. Contemporary art in the region has recently gained a high international profile by virtue of the exceptional creative work being done here."
