The Swindon-based BF Group will be supplying futuristic signage pods for use in shopping malls throughout Dubai and the Middle East.

Designed with input from BackLite Digital, a company which has been operating in Dubai for over ten years, the pods will comprise a 57-inch double-sided LCD screen, which can be used for a variety of purposes including signage and advertising.

BF Group will also utilise BackLite Digital's experience to decide where the best locations will be for the new pods.

James Bicknell, managing director of BackLite, said: "We are proud to have secured the exclusive rights to this new elegant digital pod for Dubai's shopping centres and for a future expansion in the whole of the Middle East."

He added that it was good to see out of home media expanding into the realm of digital signage.

Guests staying at Dubai hotels may find their shopping experiences made easier by the presence of the pods.
