Travellers who have booked a stay in an Abu Dhabi hotel this autumn may wish to splash out and travel in style.

Should holidaymakers choose to fly to their destination in the new first-class service launched by Etihad Airways, they may be able to enjoy the luxury of their own high-tech private suite complete with a lavish changing room.

They will also be provided with extra-large leather seats, a wash basin and a full-length mirror.

James Hogan, chief executive for Etihad Airways said that the new service was "state-of-the-art in every way" and it showed how committed the company was to "provide a world-class experience for [its] premium passengers".

Once travellers arrive at their Abu Dhabi hotel, the tourist board recommends taking a safari or city tour to take in the sights.

It also suggests hiring a 4x4 so visitors can try their hand at off-road driving on the sand dunes.
