|CNN to broadcast from Abu Dhabi next year
The move is part of the network's plans to open a new production centre in the emirate, making Abu Dhabi the fourth international centre after London, Hong Kong and Mexico City.
Tony Maddox, managing director of CNN International, said: "Our UAE expansion is one of our boldest editorial undertakings of recent years and one that builds on our existing newsgathering heritage in the region."
He added: "Our new operation in Abu Dhabi will enable us to continue to meet and exceed the demands of our audiences at a time when many of our competitors are having to retrench."
Popular Middle East-focused feature programmes Inside the Middle East and Marketplace Middle East will also be moved to the United Arab Emirates, in addition to the daily news programmes.
Those staying in an Abu Dhabi hotel from next year can keep up with all the latest news from the region and around the world in their hotel rooms.
