|Budget airline to increase flights to Abu Dhabi
The development comes in response to increased demand for more regular services from both leisure and business passengers, as well as from people travelling during the religious event of Hajj.
Nasair has been operating services between Jeddah and Abu Dhabi for nearly a year already and owns a modern fleet through its parent company, National Aviation Services.
Mohammed Al Bulooki, vice president of airline marketing and aeronautical revenue for the Abu Dhabi Airports Company, said: "Abu Dhabi city is becoming an inducement for airlines looking at high-yield and high-load factor sectors."
He added that regional air traffic to Abu Dhabi is likely to increase over the coming years as the city continues to grow.
The more regular services may be useful for visitors who have a booking in an Abu Dhabi hotel.
Plans were recently announced to build a metro in the city in order to further improve local transport infrastructure.
