|Bloomingdale's in Dubai
Both stores will be inside the new Dubai Mall, which will be one of the world's largest shopping centres when completed by the end of the year.
One of the outlets will be for clothing and accessories and the other will be for homeware and together they are the first Bloomingdale's stores outside the US.
"Dubai offers a unique opportunity for Bloomingdale's," Macy's chairman and chief executive Terry J Lundgren said in a statement.
"It is a fast-growing, affluent marketplace that has emerged as an international destination for tourism, sporting events and business."
So those staying in Dubai hotels after February 2010 will be able to shop at the famous New York-based departmental store, the one in which sitcom Friends' Rachel Green (played by Jennifer Aniston) started her career.
