|Visit London for the Design Festival
The London Design Festival will be held at various venues around the city from September 19th to 27th.
Trafalgar Square will be at the heart of the 2009 festival, playing host to a giant chess set created by Spanish designer Jaime Hayon.
A specially crafted mosaic glass chess board will be placed in the square, with two-metre-high ceramic chess pieces positioned on it for visitors to use for free from September 19th to 23rd.
The London Design Festival will also be represented at the Victoria & Albert Museum, with various talks and exhibitions being held on subjects including architecture and the possible trends of the future.
London hotel guests will be able to visit several other venues around the city to attend festival events, including the Gallery Jacqueline Rabun in Knightsbridge and Gallery 32 on Green Street.
