|Victoria & Albert Museum celebrates publishing house
Kensington hotel guests can see the exhibition Faber and Faber: Eighty Years of Book Cover Design at the museum until October 11th.
The company was founded in 1929 by Richard de la Mare, among others, and adopted a unique design style.
A number of Faber and Faber books are on display at the Victoria & Albert Museum, which highlight the commitment that the company had to cover design at a time when many other publishers paid little attention to the concept.
The current display is a precursor to a larger exhibition dedicated to the publishing house, which will be open at the museum from April 17th next year.
Also running at the Victoria & Albert Museum this year is a display exploring the topic of the fairy tale, which Kensington hotel guests will be able to visit until February next year.
