|Turner Prize exhibition to open at Tate Britain
The show, which features work by the artists shortlisted for this year's Turner Prize, will be held at Tate Britain from October 6th until January 3rd 2010.
Among the nominees for the prestigious award this year is contemporary surrealist Enrico David and Lucy Skaer, who creates drawings, sculptures and films based on photographs.
Painter Richard Wright has also been shortlisted for the Turner Prize, along with Roger Hiorns, who in the past has created unusual installations such as Seizure, for which he coated the surfaces of an entire flat with blue crystals.
The winner of this year's contest will be announced at Tate Britain on December 7th.
People planning London hotel breaks over the coming months will be able to visit Tate Britain from September 23rd to see the exhibition Turner and the Masters, which features work by Canaletto, Rubens, Rembrandt and others.
