First Rate Exchange Services questioned tourists from the US, Spain, France, Germany and Ireland on their favourite visitor attractions in the UK.
London dominated the top of the list, with Trafalgar Square followed by Tower Bridge, the city's museums, Buckingham Palace and Oxford Street in the top five.
The London Eye and Windsor Castle were found to be the sixth and seventh most popular attractions respectively, with Edinburgh Castle, Stonehenge and the Globe Theatre in London completing the top ten.
Gordon Gourlay, managing director of First Rate Exchange Services, also revealed that tourists spend around £17 billion in the UK every year.
Visit London recently revealed that the capital's attractions have been popular among London hotel guests and other tourists this year, with an 8.4 per cent increase in visitor numbers in June compared to the same month in 2008.
