|The Diver plunges into Soho Theatre
This play will see award-winning actress Kathryn Hunter rejoin Japanese director Hideki Noda and the team behind The Bee, which was a hit in both London and Tokyo, for an innovative collaboration.
Cruelty, imperialism and betrayal are among the themes that are covered in The Diver.
Running from June 19th until July 19th at the Soho Theatre, the play links the ancient Japanese tales of Genji with a Noh theatre show and a real-life murder.
The Diver's stay at the Soho Theatre will be followed by a short run of Gob Squad's Kitchen, which will open on July 21st and close on July 26th.
This improvised and entertaining show is based on the Andy Warhol film Kitchen and will set out to recreate some of the carefree exuberance of the 1960s.
