|Tate Britain welcomes guest curator
Gander's exhibition Art Now: The Way In Which It Landed will open on August 2nd and run until October 26th.
This display will see the artists investigating a number of themes and ideas that have arisen in his work, including chance encounters and the intrigue of random occurrences.
Gander has selected a number of works from the Tate collection to be included in the exhibition and also invited other artists to engage with the selection and comment on the idea of collecting.
Later in the year the Tate Britain will explore the work of one of the most revered painters of the 20th century, Francis Bacon, in an exhibition running from September 11th to January 4th next year.
Bacon is known for his raw and emotional paintings, which often feature people and animals with grotesque distortions and deformations.
