|Tate Britain presents new view of Middle East
Nahnou-Together Now opened on June 6th and London hotel visitors will be able to see the display until September 7th.
The exhibition uses prints, photography, film and other exhibits to explore individual and artistic encounters between the UK, Syria and Jordan.
Led by British artists Faisal Abdu'Allah and Maria Zeb Benjamin, filmmaker Trevor Mathison and Tate curators, Nahnou-Together Now is the result of a two-year international exchange programme.
Sixty young people from the UK, Syria and Jordan, coming from a range of cultural, social and economic backgrounds, have participated in a programme to contribute work to the exhibition over the past two years.
Tate Britain is looking at a number of regions this year, with an exhibition running until the end of August exploring the influence of the cultures and landscapes of the near and Middle East on British artists throughout history.
