|Sneak a peek at a royal banquet
From July 29th until September 29th, and for the first time ever, Buckingham Palace will invite visitors into the ballroom as it is set up for a state banquet.
The traditional horseshoe-shaped banquet table will be decorated with silver-gilt tableware from the grand service collection and adorned with some impressive flower arrangements.
Other items on display will include tureens, dishes, ornamental cups and fine English and continental porcelain.
Those interested in the hard work and preparation that goes into a state banquet will be able to see a film showing the tasks carried out by chefs, footmen, pages, florists, housemaids and others.
State banquets are held in honour of visiting heads of state and often feature more than 170 guests.
During the Queen's reign, 77 state banquets have been held at Buckingham Palace.
