|Russell Brand at Hammersmith Apollo
Brand has been in the news for all the wrong reasons recently following a lewd call that he and Jonathan Ross made to the actor Andrew Sachs and broadcast on the radio in October.
Despite such controversy, Brand remains one of the most popular stand-up performers on the British comedy circuit and he will give a number of live shows next year.
London hotel visitors will be able to see his performance at the Hammersmith Apollo on February 7th, 12th and 13th.
Other venues that will feature on Brand's 2009 tour include the Birmingham NIA (January 23rd), Newcastle City Hall (January 30th and 31st) and the Manchester Apollo (February 4th and 5th).
The big-haired comic's shows at the Apollo will be followed by a gig by Sharleen Spiteri, best known as the lead singer of the band Texas, on February 15th.
