Classical music lovers who happen to be staying in Reading this month should be sure to pay a visit to the town's Hexagon venue on November 16th.

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will be presenting a concert on this date, with Barry Wordsworth conducting and John Lill giving solo performances on the piano.

This show will represent the Royal Philharmonic's first concert as the Hexagon's resident orchestra.

Lill has been performing in the UK for more than 40 years, giving popular interpretations of famed classical works.

At the Hexagon he will play Liszt's Piano Concerto No 1 and Totentanz for Piano and Orchestra, while Beethoven's 8th Symphony and Brahms' Symphony No 3 will be the opening and closing pieces for the evening.

Reading hotel visitors will be entertained by a diverse range of music at the Hexagon this month, including a show by Jools Holland on November 19th and an NME gig featuring Primal Scream on the 25th.
