|Notting Hill prepares for carnival chaos
Around two million people are set to hit the streets of Notting Hill over the Bank Holiday weekend of August 24th and 25th to take part in Britain's biggest and brightest annual carnival.
Festival organiser Lewis Benn told the BBC: "It has grown into what we have - a great diverse event which covers all cultures and is now one, if not the biggest, cultural event in Europe."
Carnival-goers will enjoy a long day of classic Caribbean music, food and dancing with many tourists set to book a London hotel to stay in once the festivities have died down.
Families are welcome and the carnival is free to all so there is no excuse to miss out on one of the most vibrant festivals in Britain.
The Notting Hilll Carnival began in January 1959 in St Pancras Town Hall as a response to the attacks witnessed in the Notting Hill race riots.
