|New phase of London tourism campaign launched in Europe
France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Ireland, Belgium and The Netherlands are the main markets being targeted by the initiative.
London hotels could see an influx of visitors tempted to try out the unique experiences highlighted by the adverts, including a walk down Columbia Road flower market and enjoying the views from the London Eye.
The campaign will run across the European markets throughout the months of September and October.
Sally Chatterjee, interim chief executive of Visit London, said: "It is very important to keep London at the forefront of city tourism in Europe.
"With our new 'Only in London' campaign we not only promote the great one-of-a-kind experiences that make London a unique city but also great 'value for money' offers which together with the current exchange rates make London very attractive to European visitors."
Figures released by Visit London show that holiday visits to the capital were up by two per cent in the first quarter of 2009.
