|National Gallery to present Picasso exhibition
From February 25th, the National Gallery will present an art showcase entitled Picasso: Challenging the Past.
The show will explore how Picasso, one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, pitted his talents against the great masters of the past in a fascinating artistic dialogue.
Visitors will see work by a number of great visionaries who were important to Picasso, including El Greco, Velazquez, Goya, Rembrandt, Delacroix, Manet and Cezanne.
The exhibition will also feature 60 pieces by the artist himself to allow browsers to make connections between Picasso and those who inspired him.
Until January 18th, the National Gallery will present a display of portraits by Renaissance artists including Raphael, Titian, Botticelli, Van Eyck and Holbein.
