|NPG hosts work of Wyndham Lewis
As well as being a highly skilled and influential painter, Lewis was an acclaimed writer and the founder of the Vorticist movement in 1914.
The exhibition at the Portrait Gallery, which London hotel visitors will be able to see from July 3rd until October 19th, will feature oil paintings, drawings and works on paper, spanning a period from 1910 to 1950.
Some key figures from Lewis' life and some of the great artistic figures of the 20th century are depicted in the pieces, including TS Eliot, Ezra Pound, James Joyce and Virginia Woolf.
One of the most striking exhibits is the self-portrait 'Mr Wyndham Lewis as a Tyro', which addresses the artist's complex public image.
London hotel visitors will find the National Portrait Gallery on St Martin's Place.
