|Manon at the London Coliseum
Often considered choreographer Sir Kenneth MacMillan's masterpiece, Manon tells the tale of a young, beautiful girl who is caught between two men vying for her affections.
Sir Kenneth's production of the show with the English National Ballet is based on Manon Lescaut, the 1731 novel by Abbe Prevost.
The music that London hotel visitors will enjoy while watching Manon was composed by Jules Massenet, a French composer best known for his operas who was thought to be one of the greatest melodists of his era.
This production was first performed by the Royal Danish Ballet in 2003 and will be given its London debut by the 67 dancers and symphony orchestra of the English National Ballet in 2009.
There will be 12 matinee and evening performances of the show between January 2nd and 11th.
