|Mamma Mia! voted the nation's favourite musical
Insurance provider Churchill carried out a survey to find the top ten musicals of all time to mark the release of its newest advert, in which the brand's nodding dog character attends an audition for the show Cats.
Mamma Mia! took the top spot in the vote, followed by Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables.
A pair of popular productions that have also featured on the big screen, Grease and the Rocky Horror Show, completed the top five in the Churchill survey.
Two other Lloyd Webber creations, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Cats, also made it into the top ten, along with Chicago, West Side Story and Oliver!.
London hotel guests can currently see Mamma Mia! at the Prince of Wales Theatre in the West End, where it is taking bookings up to March 2011.
