Visitors to London should come sooner rather than later if they want to enjoy cheap prices, an expert has said.

Jerome Touze, the co-founder of Where Are You Now?, said that many are now viewing the capital as a viable option for a break because prices are lowered.

He commented: "For the first time, London is being associated as a cheap destination."

Mr Touze added that it wasn't likely to stay that way, hinting that visitors may need to come soon to make the most of the situation.

According to the Office for National Statistics on travel and tourism, between August to October, the number of overseas visitors to London decreased by four per cent compared with the previous twelve months.

There are many events in London that can now be enjoyed for cheaper prices because of the economy, with some theatres having to adjust their costs to keep people coming, and many shops offering the best sales that they have done in years.
