|Lenny Henry to make West End debut
London hotel guests will be able to see Barrie Rutter's successful touring version of the play at Trafalgar Studios from September 11th to December 12th.
Othello explores themes of race, love, jealousy and betrayal and introduces the character of Iago, a high-ranking officer who sets about manipulating Othello for his own gain after he is passed over for promotion.
Tickets for the West End show are expected to sell out fast owing to the presence of Henry, who is best known for his stand-up comedy work and television appearances, in the lead role.
Othello is being presented by Northern Broadsides, a multi-award winning touring theatre company that has offered a new take on a number of Shakespeare works in the past.
Also opening at Trafalgar Studios this week is Kurt and Sid, which features Danny Dyer and Shaun Evans playing Sid Vicious and Kurt Cobain.
