Families visiting London in December may want to head to the city's Transport Museum on the weekend of the 6th and 7th if they are searching for ways to keep youngsters entertained.

These dates will see the museum host the popular cartoon puppy Kipper, who will be celebrating his birthday.

Visitors will be able to find out all sorts of facts related to the lovable canine, such as whether he prefers to travel by Tube, by train or on London's red buses.

A number of special games and activities will be organised at the museum, including a storytelling session with children's entertainer Liz Fost, and all children will be given Kipper goodie bags.

Tickets for the event, which will be held twice on both days of the weekend, should be booked in advance.

The London Transport Museum will host a number of one-off events over the coming months, including a talk by artist Simon Patterson on December 9th.
