People planning to base their New Year's Eve celebrations in London this year will be able to continue the fun the next day, if they have the energy, at the New Year's Day Parade.

From noon on January 1st, the streets of London will be filled with all sorts of entertaining activities, including music concerts, dancing, marching, outdoor performances and much more.

More than 10,000 performers from all over the world will descend on the capital for the New Year's Day Parade, from American marching bands and dance troupes to groups from London's boroughs.

Their performance exploits are set to be enjoyed by more than half a million people, who will be lining the city's streets to watch the parade pass.

The route starts at Parliament Square and finishes at Piccadilly, passing famous locations including Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square and Regent Street.

In addition to the parade itself, there will be ten special concerts held on New Year's Day at venues including Westminster Central Hall, St Augustine's Church and Trafalgar Square.
