|Explore St James' Park on the shortest day of the year
A guided walk will give visitors an insight into the winter secrets of one of London's most famous parks on the shortest day of the year.
This is a new walk for 2008 and people hoping to take part are advised that booking is essential. The meeting point for the tour will be Guards Memorial on Horse Guards Road.
Another location that hosts regular walks for London visitors to enjoy is Richmond Park, which will be the location for a wildlife-themed tour on January 3rd.
This walk will offer an introduction to the history and wildlife of Richmond Park and also give guests the opportunity to learn more about the area's winter wildfowl population.
Both Richmond Park and St James' Park are part of the Royal Parks group, which also includes Green Park, Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park and Regent's Park.
