The English National Opera (ENO) will continue its autumn season in October with a production of Giuseppe Verdi's Rigoletto.

Jonathan Miller's acclaimed version of the classic opera will be presented at the London Coliseum from September 21st to October 23rd.

London hotel visitors will be able to choose from nine different performances of the show.

This production of Rigoletto is described as a "Little Italy" staging, replacing the original Renaissance court setting with the tough culture of Mafia-controlled New York in the 1950s.

Anthony Michaels-Moore has sung the title role in this particular show in Belgium, Austria and the Netherlands and will play the character for the very first time on the British stage this autumn.

Stephen Lord, music director of the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, will conduct the orchestra.

Opera fans planning London hotel breaks later in the year will be able to visit the Coliseum from October 8th to December 12th to see a new production of the Puccini classic Turandot.
