London's Courtauld Gallery will this year host an exhibition showcasing its substantial collection of works by Paul Cezanne.

Cezanne was a French painter who played an important part in the Impressionist movement of the 1800s as well as new 20th century artistic styles such as Cubism.

London hotel visitors can see the extensive exhibition of his work at the Courtauld Gallery, at Somerset House on the Strand, from June 26th until October 5th.

The display will present the gallery's entire collection for the first time, including famous paintings such as Montagne Sainte-Victoire and Card Players, which were both created in the late 19th century.

Works such as these will be exhibited alongside rarely seen drawings and watercolours.

Visitors who are interested in the philosophy behind Cezanne's work will be able to explore a never-before-seen group of nine autograph letters in which the artist himself discusses the principles behind his practices.
