|Chekhov play comes to London stage
Theatre fans should get their theatre tickets and London hotel rooms booked soon if they want to catch this play, which will run from September 12th until November 29th.
The production will feature a number of recognisable stars, including Kenneth Branagh in the lead role, Gina McKee, Lorcan Cranitch, Sylvestra Le Touzel and Kevin McNally.
Ivanov tells the story of a man, once of great promise, who has seen his life taken over by debt, destructive relationships and small-town jealousies.
As well as offering a portrait of the man himself, Ivanov provides an exploration of Russian society at a time when the country was on the bring of great change.
London hotel visitors will be able to see the new version of the play, written by highly respected playwright Tom Stoppard, at Wyndham's Theatre on Charing Cross Road.
