West London hotel visitors who go to see the play The 39 Steps from July 28th will be entertained by two new cast members.

Alan Perrin and Nigel Betts will join the production in the place of Martyn Ellis and Simon Gregor, according to the London Theatre Guide.

Jo Stone-Fewings and Josefina Gabrielle, who play the lead characters of Richard Hannay and Annabella Schmidt, will continue to fill their roles this summer.

Perrin may be a recognisable face to regular theatregoers, as he has previously appeared in productions including His Dark Materials, Gilgamesh, Cyrano de Bergerac and Henry V for the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Betts has made a number of television appearances, in shows including A Touch of Frost and Silent Witness, and also gained stage credits in Tinderbox and A New Way to Please You, among others.

In other London theatre news, full casting was announced for Piaf, the show scheduled to open at the Donmar Warehouse on August 8th, with Elena Roger, Shane Attwooll and Phillip Browne among the performers.
